Makia × Moomin

We grew up hearing and reading about the Moomins, a family of rounded white trolls, created by writer and artist Tove Jansson. The story that inspired the collection was ‘Moominpappa at Sea’, where the Moomin family takes off to a lighthouse in the middle of the sea, to reflect on their lives and grow up as individuals.

The Moomins represent resilience, timelessness and they also come with a lot of wisdom that suits the Makia brand and core thinking.

The Moomins cultural heritage reaches far beyond the status of being the Finnish national character. Stories that Tove wrote, promote universal values that appeal to all ages, genders and nationalities, inspiring people all over the world, and also at Makia.
