Makia Spring-Summer 2020 campaign
Coming from the northeastern corner of Europe, the ever-changing seasons affect our daily lives. As the blistering cold winter turns into spring, light surfaces and nature awakens. This change in seasons has inspired our collection with light tones taken from the surrounding elements. Green and blue from the ocean, with yellow from the moss of the rocky island archipelago.
Our Spring/Summer 2020 collection was photographed in downtown Helsinki during spring 2019. We wanted to capture an early summer feel, when raw light surfaces after the dark winter months, as the city starts to adjust for the summer. We continued working with photographer Mikko Ryhänen, along with models Cajsa, Frederik, and Mathias, with Helsinki based locations varying from the oceanfront area of Ruoholahti, historic quarters in Töölö, and urban Kallio.
