Part of the legendary Ride team. Dale was on the forefront on bringing the skateboard style riding into snowboarding. During the early nineties, when there was no “superpipes” or “superparks”, Dale was one of the kids who was bringing the “new school” to the slopes. Huge pants, unlimited travel budget and one of the best styles in the sport made and everlasting impression for generations to come.
The day we were supposed to meet Dale, he woke us up with a SMS at 6:45. All fuzzy from the sleeping pills we had to pop to fight the jet lag the previous night, he made us hop into our clothes and drive down to Dana Point harbor in 15 minutes for the shoot. We met Dale at a X-38 racing yacht he now days is occupied with. The harbor looking as good as ever in the morning light, it was time for action. After a swift shoot, we blew a fuse, wrapped it up, drove to the closest Active to buy a pair Aviators and continued onwards to Seattle. Next in line Peter line. 19 h drive ahead. The sun was shining. Thank you Dale!
